Joel is an NDIS-registered Behaviour Support Practitioner with 15 years of professional experience spanning Australian specialist schools, international education settings, and the disability sector.
Joel specialises in assessing complex behavioural needs and designing personalised, evidence-informed interventions that create meaningful and lasting change. His practice is grounded in neuroaffirming, trauma-assumed, and person-centred principles, with a strong focus on ethical and least-restrictive approaches.
He works collaboratively with individuals, families, educators, support workers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans that promote wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
Joel holds a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis and a Master of Learning Intervention (Disability), bringing together behavioural science and educational practice in his work with participants and practitioners. Alongside his clinical work, he provides clinical supervision to Behaviour Support Practitioners, supporting reflective, ethical, and high-quality practice.
He is passionate about fostering inclusive environments that empower people to thrive and values collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and genuine partnership in achieving meaningful outcomes.
